I dag stod den så på marinerede lammekoteletter, serveret med ovnbagte kartoffelbåde, dampede grønne asparges og en hjemmelavet hummus. Køb dine lammekoteletter hos slagteren, bed om en udskæring fra et stort lam og få dem skåret lidt tykt, så er de lettere at stege perfekt rosa.
Opskrift:
5-6 store lammekoteletter
marinade:
½ dl hvidvin
½ dl olie
2-3 fed hvidløg i tynde skiver
2 tsk herbes de Provence, eller friske rosmarinnåle
½ tsk groft salt
friskkværnet sort peber
Bland ingredienserne til marinaden i et fad og vend koteletterne i marinaden. Kom dem i en frysepose og hæld marinaden ved. Lad dem hvile i køleskabet i mindst 6-8 timer.
Når koteletterne skal grilles tages de ud af posen og duppes tørre med køkkenrulle.

Pensl med olie og steg på grillen eller på en hed grillpande i 4-5 minutter på hver side.

May hasn't done a very good job of being the first month of summer so far - the temperatures are more reminiscent of April, and for the past week grey skies and rain have joined in to make things rather miserable. I'm glad I have my trusty grill frying pan, and today we used it for lamb chops - we're in desperate need of some more summery meals, and these were served with steamed green asparagus, oven roasted chips, and a homemade hummus.
Recipe:
5-6 large lamb chops
marinade:
50 ml white wine
50 ml oil
2-3 cloves garlic sliced thinly
2 tsp herbes de Provence or fresh rosemary needles
½ tsp coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a dish and coat the lamb chops on all sides.

Place the chops in a plastic bag appropriate for food, and pour in the rest of the marinade. Close and let rest in the fridge for 6-8 hours.
When ready to grill your chops, remove them from the bag and pat dry with paper kitchen towels.

Paint the chops with a little oil and broil on a charcoal grill, or on a hot grill frying pan, for 4-5 minutes on each side.

Excellent meal! I use my grill pan very often and I am more than satisfied with the "grilling" results. I like your marinade, shall try it out! We have terrible weather as well, and the general saying goes that all that bad weather is mainly due to the Island's volcano cloud and that the climate in Europe is going to change. Brrrr!
